Chris has over 18 years of experience in the Landscape industry that includes designing, building, and maintaining a diverse range of residential and commercial projects. Throughout his education and professional experience, Chris has used his knowledge of plant material and sustainable building practices to deliver a quality product to clients throughout East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.  Attention to detail paired with Chris's passion for exceptional quality frames a design philosophy that exhibits respect to our environment and how we engage it.

Chris has a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to graduate school, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Sciences with a concentration in Landscape Design and Construction from UTK as well. After the completion of his Master’s degree in 2011, Chris formed Chandler Design and Planning, LLC. In October 2015, Chris obtained his registration in Tennessee as a Professional Landscape Architect.

Chris enjoys his time with his wife, Lindsey, 9 year old son Wells, and 6 year old daughter Laney. To this day, Chris has been engaged in numerous activities that lead him outside into the natural environment. Some of his most notable passions include Mountain Biking, Waterfowl and Upland Game Hunting, and helping his father manage their wooded mountainous property in Unicoi County Tennessee.
